King_Runite1 is my alter-ego for gaming. I first used it in Jagex’s franchise of games and it has since spread along those paths, being used when I discuss gaming issues.

Personally I study Computer Science and could be describes as a social ethical libertarian for the purposes of political categorisation (although people rarely fit these blocks so well, myself included). I’m adept in a number of computer languages, mostly notably PHP & MySQL (proficient but not adept in Java). I comment on Slashdot as an Anonymous Coward and read the comics on CAD and XKCD.

I’m inside the top 15K RuneScape players on the overall highscores, having being playing for more than 5 years. I’ve made it a goal to find out everything I can about the game’s past history. As a result I have resources on top players, updates once shelved then un-earthed, bugs that should never have been and a whole lot more.

Future info – I track every tweet relating to Jagex on Twitter, comment on Facebook – meaning I normally know early enough. If Mod AJD is reading this, I hope my tweetspam isn’t annoying you too much!

I live in the UK which is nice because it’s the same as Jagex, meaning I don’t waste time translating timezones.

If you’re looking for infinite wealth and riches, well I’m barely 20M total cash, so that’s not found here. Highscores are something which I’ll discuss, but not in significant detail. It’s constructed off lack of sleep, bourne out by desire for fame. There’s no instant success, no cheap tricks, they’d long have been spread by now. Dual-actions are the latest tool in their arsenal, but Zarfot‘s YouTube channel is the place where real discussion can be found for that method.

If you want comment and critique on where we are going, why it’s happening and who’s to blame then stay tuned, because thats the overarching focus. A BTS for the news and updates I suppose. The history I know means that I know why we get what we get and the effects it will have.

I don’t engage in market speculation, although naturally I’ll discuss the effects of decisions. I’m not prone to wild speculation, but reasoned guesswork!
